Never skip a meal. It will make you body's metabolism slow. That is due to a reaction in your body that makes it think it is starving. So it slows the metabolism down to compensate. It also contributes to insulin spikes in the body.
Food is your body's fuel. If your body doesn't get fuel then it doesn't run correctly. That is why I recommend grazing. It allows your body to get a steady stream of food all day, and helps regulate your blood sugars.
